How to Make an Easy Picnic Lunch to Go

How to Make an Easy Picnic Lunch to Go

You all know I’m obsessed with picnic lunches, right? I wrote this post on a great picnic blanket that we love, and this one on some awesome picnic basket ideas. And now I’m going to share my favorite easy picnic lunch!

**Surprise! There’s a giveaway at the bottom of this post too! But it’s not for anything picnic related! Just keep reading to find out what it is!!**

We’ve had some really busy weekends lately, and I knew I wanted to get a picnic in this weekend. I didn’t have a ton of time to make and pack sandwiches, so I picked up some favorites for our little lunch. Here’s all you’ll need: (and yes, that’s wine in our nalgene bottle. Don’t judge.)

The Easiest Picnic Lunch Ever:

  1. Meats (Our favorites are Rosette Salami and Pepperoni!)
  2. Your favorite artisan cheeses (hello 6 year aged cheddar!!)
  3. Olives
  4. Dried fruits
  5. Optional: Crackers & wine!

Believe it or not, our daughter LOVES olives. Isn’t that crazy?! Anyway, I picked all of this stuff up at Hyvee on our way up to the cabin this weekend. We stuffed a small 6×6 cutting board and pocket knife into my Boken diaper bag (this thing holds EVERYTHING including the kitchen sink!) and headed out.

She’s in the middle of saying “cheese” for the camera…lol

Unfortunately it was a bit chilly, but I had my Multiwear Cardimom cardigan with me. I’ve been wearing this weekly; it’s a nursing top that can be worn two different ways, and also functions as a car seat cover! I’m not nursing, and Bear isn’t in an infant car seat anymore, but I LOVE that I can wear it in two different styles: sweater or cardigan! It’s so versatile and super comfortable, so it’s been a mom fashion staple for me lately!

Sweater or cardigan?! I love wearing it both ways!

Multiwear has generously donated a Cardimom for this week’s giveaway, so be sure to enter below!

I love the idea of a spontaneous picnic! That’s so cute that your daughter loves olives!!! My girl loves Dubliner cheese – LOL who would have guessed that??? She’s about 8.5 months old and she goes crazy for it! Love the Cardimom – I’m still nursing (for now) and I’d love to win one! Thanks for the opportunity!
